We chartered many times in Greece in the past years and sometimes appened to have a bad experience regarding the charter company or the boat conditions, and this was often when we chose a big company in a big marina. You are the client number X, and after a quick check in you are left alone to find out the problems of your boat with nobody to complain with, and if the problems are big you only have to wait and waist precious time of your short holiday on a jetty... Then we came across in Kefalonia Sailing and we had one of the best chartering experience ever. Spiros has been very nice and helpfull since the beginning, the boat was perfect, the marina was in Agia Efimia, a little pearl very accessible with all supplies you might need, We enjoyed every single second of our days, cuddled by Spiro\\\\\\\'s hospitality and the beaty of Ithaca\\\\\\\'s beaches, terrific!! --- Bareboat charter June 2017
Spiros managed to find us possibly the last available boat in Greece for our last minute charter, the boat evidently came across from Levkas especially for us ! It was the most personal service we have received in many years of chartering., Spiros was very friendly from our first email and answered all of our questions. and the boat was good value too..Shaking hands in a car park could only happen in Greece!. If you have any concerns about moving away from the big companies, have no fear everything was great. We have chartered many times in the Ionian but it made a real change to start and finish in Kefalonia, so much easier to reach our favourite places both on this island and on Ithaka.. We did have a problem with the boat on the last day, the back up service came to our aid and after an unscheduled visit to Fiscardo we were on our way after lunch . The offer of dinner that evening was above and beyond what we would expect and the experience would give us,peace of mind to charter with this company again. Our first cruise in the Ionian, and what a great time we had. The weather was kind & the boat reliable, well equipped and just right for four adults, and our adorable 14 month old grand daughter Nancy. We chartered a Bavaria 39 from Sami, which wasn’t the newest on the block, but well presented, clean and tidy with the massive benefit of Solar Panels which made a massive difference - fridge on 24/7, what a luxury. We are frequent charterers and have sailed in the Med for the past 43 year. I have not only chartered but for many years ran the operations of a major charter company. I can safely say that it is not very often that one comes across a charter company as efficient and flexible as Kefalonia Sailing .Spiros and his team were quite outstanding and nothing was too much trouble. Changes of charter dates, plans and island excursions were all handled swiftly and with courtesy. There is a lot to be said for using a company where the owners are hands on - something the mega charter companies lose with size. The boat was in excellent condition for age and we had no problems with her whatsoever. One other big advantage was the far cheaper flights to Argostoli rather than Preveza -amazing difference. NO FORGETTING AMNESIA We set off from Agios Efimia, Kefalonia, circumnavigated Ithaki, calling in at some interesting anchorages before sailing to Atoro and then to Kastos before returning via Meganissi Island and a memorable afternoon sail down Steno Ithakis in a rising wind. The yacht, which was called “Amnesia” was anything but unforgettable. The boat was a Cyclades 43.4 Cruiser with (thankfully) slab reefing and roomy accommodation down below. The all-important anchor windlass had recently been replaced and Georgios had equipped the boat for every conceivable circumstance and thankfully nothing went wrong. We had very light winds (apart from the last day of the sailing trip) and had to motor for fairly long distances at times with absolutely no trouble from the engine. This sailing area never ceases to surprise me in its beauty and variety and, despite the busy conditions in some of the harbours we were always able to secure a comfortable berth. We chartered a boat from Port Sami in Kefalonia. Seven seas were excellent in organising the charter. They even gave advice re hotel accommadation for the week we had prior to the sailing and put us in touch with a car rental company which offered great rates and were very accommadating in pick up and drop offs.. Spiros was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the booking process. We had a few slightly challenging requests for him to fill, but he managed to find us a great boat and crew and handled every aspect of the itinerary from transfers to jet ski rentals. Kefalonia Sailing seems to be the only yacht agency that is actually based in Kefalonia, which was really helpful to securing a boat that was nearby and making use of their local knowledge for arranging the itinerary. We had a wonderful one week charter in October sailing from Sami around the Ionian Islands. We chartered San Giorgio, I beautiful 2017 Lagoon 42 which was luxury indeed. We set sale with 2 families on board to explore the Ionian and had the most wonderful holiday visiting beautiful bays with turquoise seas as well as amazing villages like Fiskardo. Spiros was extremely helpful and a pleasure to charter from, always quick to respond to any questions and make sure we had the best possible time, we also had support from the owner which was much appreciated on a couple of technical problems.
