I am happy to make a review of my wonderful experience on my recent yacht charter from Kefalonia Sailing. From my first contact arranging the booking Spiros was most helpful in choice of yacht and sailing area. The yacht on pick-up was in excellent condition. Unfortunately a storm came in which meant we had to seek refuge in Sami. Once again Spiros provided advice and his staff were on hand to meet us on arrival to ensure a berth. Sadly due to an illness at home we had to cut short the charter but once again Spiros did all he could to help us and make the unexpected handover of the yacht stress free and arranged transport for a quick dash to the airport. We chartered a boat for August 2020. The initial booking process was easy and communication was excellent. Spiros is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. He even put us in contact with a reliable car rental company. Despite all the uncertainty about whether our trip would even happen due to COVID-19, Spiros was great all the way through; reassuring us that even if it couldn't happen we would be able to move the booking and we wouldn't lose any money. The boat was excellent (only a couple of years old) and our Captain Niko was an absolute star; he quickly became part of the family and the children loved him too. Our first cruise in the Ionian, and what a great time we had. The weather was kind & the boat reliable, well equipped and just right for four adults, and our adorable 14 month old grand daughter Nancy. We chartered a Bavaria 39 from Sami, which wasn’t the newest on the block, but well presented, clean and tidy with the massive benefit of Solar Panels which made a massive difference - fridge on 24/7, what a luxury. Thank you for arranging a flotilla holiday that met all expectations and that will be fondly remembered. An efficient and personal service that resulted in a wonderful week of sailing in the Ionian. The bareboat charter was excellently managed. Spiros and Bouchra responded promptly to all queries and gained immediately our confidence to invest our charter fee way up-front. Having got to know them at pickup we were sorry not to have had time to see more of them - the beautiful weather in Kefalonia called us away immediately onto the high seas. The boat (Bavaria 46, 2015) was in immaculate condition, and we would warmly recommend the personal attention afforded by Spiros and Bouchra to any other prospective charterers. I can’t recommend Kefalonia Sailing more highly. Spiros looked after us brilliantly despite very difficult circumstances. I think they offer the best prices as well. We originally booked on a flotilla with six people and two boats for the beginning of June. Covid put a stop to that, but Spiros was very happy to move the booking to late September. Then two of our party decided they couldn’t come anyway, but Spiros found us a boat for the 4 of us. A week before we were due to arrive there was a massive storm and some of the company’s boats were sunk compromising the holiday. Spiros found us another boat and attached us to a new flotilla. We had a great time while out sailing. They were fantastic from start to finish. Very highly recommended. (September 2020)
Spiros managed to find us possibly the last available boat in Greece for our last minute charter, the boat evidently came across from Levkas especially for us ! It was the most personal service we have received in many years of chartering., Spiros was very friendly from our first email and answered all of our questions. and the boat was good value too..Shaking hands in a car park could only happen in Greece!. If you have any concerns about moving away from the big companies, have no fear everything was great. We have chartered many times in the Ionian but it made a real change to start and finish in Kefalonia, so much easier to reach our favourite places both on this island and on Ithaka.. We did have a problem with the boat on the last day, the back up service came to our aid and after an unscheduled visit to Fiscardo we were on our way after lunch . The offer of dinner that evening was above and beyond what we would expect and the experience would give us,peace of mind to charter with this company again. Great communication from Spiros who was also flexible with our travel arrangements. . Personal welcome when we arrived and relaxing 1-1 check-in to get our yacht. Our yacht was in great condition and loaded with extra items not usually seen on a charter boat. We had a great weeks sailing around the Ionian Islands on a great boat. Brilliant service from the first enquiry to the final check out. Excellent communication from Spiros who was very helpful as we booked the charter. Nice easy check in process on a great yacht which sailed like a dream despite the lack of wind on a lot of days. Final check out also nice and straightforward.
