I am happy to make a review of my wonderful experience on my recent yacht charter from Kefalonia Sailing. From my first contact arranging the booking Spiros was most helpful in choice of yacht and sailing area. The yacht on pick-up was in excellent condition. Unfortunately a storm came in which meant we had to seek refuge in Sami. Once again Spiros provided advice and his staff were on hand to meet us on arrival to ensure a berth. Sadly due to an illness at home we had to cut short the charter but once again Spiros did all he could to help us and make the unexpected handover of the yacht stress free and arranged transport for a quick dash to the airport. Thanks to Spiros we found the right sailing boat for rent for our first holiday in the Ionian Sea. The team welcomed our family and recommended us good places to visit. The children were very proud to sail on a brand new Bavaria Cruiser and loved the bathing platform. We easily and safely reached paradise islands close to lefkada like Meganissi, Ithaka and Kefalonia. When we faced a problem with the outboard engine, Vangelis technical team offered us a friendly and immediate solution. The Ionian Sea in summer can be windy in the afternoon but generally calms down in the evening so sailers and their family can have fun all day long! --- Bareboat charter August 2017, Bavaria 37
same as 2019, we came back to Spiros and his team to charter in ionian sea. sun odyssee 33i from 2015, but well maintained and in good conditions great holidays, great service, always friendly and helpful for any request. sure we come back to Spiros!
I had planned our island hopping/ sailing trip for so long and it was EVERYTHING that I’d hoped for!! Spiros was so accommodating...very responsive to lots of emails !! Our skipper Ilias was wonderful too. Wonderful memories 💞

Spiros hat unseren ersten Familienurlaub in Griechenland perfekt organisiert – inklusive An- und Abreise nach bzw. von Sami zum Flughafen Argostoli. Vielen Dank dafür! Wir hatten uns für eine Bavaria 39 cruiser von 2006 entscheiden, die ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis versprach. Das Boot hatte daher schon einige Gebrauchsspuren, war aber insgesamt o.k.. Dank unseres deutschsprachigen Skippers, den Spiros uns auf Wunsch vermittelt hatte, hatten wir wunderbar entspannte, unkomplizierte und abwechslungsreiche Pfingstferien im Ionischen Meer und konnten eine Menge toller Eindrücke bei idealen Wetterbedingungen von Kefalonia, Ithaka, Kastos, Meganisi und Lefkada sammeln. Das müssen wir unbedingt bald fortsetzen, da waren sich meine Frau, meine beiden Söhne und ich uns einig. Bei Kefalonia Sailing zu chartern war eine gute Idee und kann ich wirklich empfehlen.
We've sailed many times in the Ionian, historically using a British company. However, our old charter company was starting to get really expensive so we explored some local operators. We struck lucky with Kefalonia Sailing. We chartered Nionios, a Sun Odysey 35 in June 2017. Spiros was fantastic right from our first communication and the team went out of their way to make our trip as enjoyable as possible. We had been warned the boat was a little older than some and weren't too sure what to expect but she was a delightful boat which had clearly been looked after and we had some fantastic sailing. But it was the little touches that made things memorable. Solar panels meant we could run the fridge 24 hours a day. Electric fans in the cabins ensured comfortable nights. As we sail with our daughter (who was just over two years old on this trip) both these factors were very welcome. Spiros had also provided netting round the guard rails and packed some kids toys and a toddler's life jacket in the lockers. They also accommodated our request to pick the boat up in one location and drop it off in a different one. I rarely give reviews but have no hesitation in recommending Kefalonia Sailing to anyone. They are a reliable, friendly team who provide great value for money and go the extra mile to make sure you have the best possible time. Wanted a last minute week sailing in October but needed to get a boat from Kefalonia rather than lefkas. Found kefaloniasailing.com. but prices were almost too good to be true so was a little sceptical. From the point of initial enquiry to arranging airport transfer and then meeting us at the boat in person, the service from Spiros was fantastic and I couldn't rate him more highly. NO FORGETTING AMNESIA We set off from Agios Efimia, Kefalonia, circumnavigated Ithaki, calling in at some interesting anchorages before sailing to Atoro and then to Kastos before returning via Meganissi Island and a memorable afternoon sail down Steno Ithakis in a rising wind. The yacht, which was called “Amnesia” was anything but unforgettable. The boat was a Cyclades 43.4 Cruiser with (thankfully) slab reefing and roomy accommodation down below. The all-important anchor windlass had recently been replaced and Georgios had equipped the boat for every conceivable circumstance and thankfully nothing went wrong. We had very light winds (apart from the last day of the sailing trip) and had to motor for fairly long distances at times with absolutely no trouble from the engine. This sailing area never ceases to surprise me in its beauty and variety and, despite the busy conditions in some of the harbours we were always able to secure a comfortable berth. Our first cruise in the Ionian, and what a great time we had. The weather was kind & the boat reliable, well equipped and just right for four adults, and our adorable 14 month old grand daughter Nancy. We chartered a Bavaria 39 from Sami, which wasn’t the newest on the block, but well presented, clean and tidy with the massive benefit of Solar Panels which made a massive difference - fridge on 24/7, what a luxury.
