We chartered a boat for August 2020. The initial booking process was easy and communication was excellent. Spiros is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. He even put us in contact with a reliable car rental company. Despite all the uncertainty about whether our trip would even happen due to COVID-19, Spiros was great all the way through; reassuring us that even if it couldn't happen we would be able to move the booking and we wouldn't lose any money. The boat was excellent (only a couple of years old) and our Captain Niko was an absolute star; he quickly became part of the family and the children loved him too. I had planned our island hopping/ sailing trip for so long and it was EVERYTHING that I’d hoped for!! Spiros was so accommodating...very responsive to lots of emails !! Our skipper Ilias was wonderful too. Wonderful memories 💞
Spiros managed to find us possibly the last available boat in Greece for our last minute charter, the boat evidently came across from Levkas especially for us ! It was the most personal service we have received in many years of chartering., Spiros was very friendly from our first email and answered all of our questions. and the boat was good value too..Shaking hands in a car park could only happen in Greece!. If you have any concerns about moving away from the big companies, have no fear everything was great. We have chartered many times in the Ionian but it made a real change to start and finish in Kefalonia, so much easier to reach our favourite places both on this island and on Ithaka.. We did have a problem with the boat on the last day, the back up service came to our aid and after an unscheduled visit to Fiscardo we were on our way after lunch . The offer of dinner that evening was above and beyond what we would expect and the experience would give us,peace of mind to charter with this company again. Spiros was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the booking process. We had a few slightly challenging requests for him to fill, but he managed to find us a great boat and crew and handled every aspect of the itinerary from transfers to jet ski rentals. Kefalonia Sailing seems to be the only yacht agency that is actually based in Kefalonia, which was really helpful to securing a boat that was nearby and making use of their local knowledge for arranging the itinerary. I would like to thank Spiros very much for all the help with our charter. All contacts were all very good at helping us too for example when we returned to Sami before the storm. Without his personal help too we would not have had the good experience.
We chartered many times in Greece in the past years and sometimes appened to have a bad experience regarding the charter company or the boat conditions, and this was often when we chose a big company in a big marina. You are the client number X, and after a quick check in you are left alone to find out the problems of your boat with nobody to complain with, and if the problems are big you only have to wait and waist precious time of your short holiday on a jetty... Then we came across in Kefalonia Sailing and we had one of the best chartering experience ever. I am happy to make a review of my wonderful experience on my recent yacht charter from Kefalonia Sailing. From my first contact arranging the booking Spiros was most helpful in choice of yacht and sailing area. The yacht on pick-up was in excellent condition. Unfortunately a storm came in which meant we had to seek refuge in Sami. Once again Spiros provided advice and his staff were on hand to meet us on arrival to ensure a berth. Sadly due to an illness at home we had to cut short the charter but once again Spiros did all he could to help us and make the unexpected handover of the yacht stress free and arranged transport for a quick dash to the airport.
