Thanks to Spiros we found the right sailing boat for rent for our first holiday in the Ionian Sea. The team welcomed our family and recommended us good places to visit. The children were very proud to sail on a brand new Bavaria Cruiser and loved the bathing platform. We easily and safely reached paradise islands close to lefkada like Meganissi, Ithaka and Kefalonia. When we faced a problem with the outboard engine, Vangelis technical team offered us a friendly and immediate solution. We are frequent charterers and have sailed in the Med for the past 43 year. I have not only chartered but for many years ran the operations of a major charter company. I can safely say that it is not very often that one comes across a charter company as efficient and flexible as Kefalonia Sailing .Spiros and his team were quite outstanding and nothing was too much trouble. Changes of charter dates, plans and island excursions were all handled swiftly and with courtesy. There is a lot to be said for using a company where the owners are hands on - something the mega charter companies lose with size. The boat was in excellent condition for age and we had no problems with her whatsoever. One other big advantage was the far cheaper flights to Argostoli rather than Preveza -amazing difference. The bareboat charter was excellently managed. Spiros and Bouchra responded promptly to all queries and gained immediately our confidence to invest our charter fee way up-front. Having got to know them at pickup we were sorry not to have had time to see more of them - the beautiful weather in Kefalonia called us away immediately onto the high seas. The boat (Bavaria 46, 2015) was in immaculate condition, and we would warmly recommend the personal attention afforded by Spiros and Bouchra to any other prospective charterers. I can’t recommend Kefalonia Sailing more highly. Spiros looked after us brilliantly despite very difficult circumstances. I think they offer the best prices as well. We originally booked on a flotilla with six people and two boats for the beginning of June. Covid put a stop to that, but Spiros was very happy to move the booking to late September. Then two of our party decided they couldn’t come anyway, but Spiros found us a boat for the 4 of us. A week before we were due to arrive there was a massive storm and some of the company’s boats were sunk compromising the holiday. Spiros found us another boat and attached us to a new flotilla. We had a great time while out sailing. They were fantastic from start to finish. Very highly recommended. (September 2020)
I am happy to make a review of my wonderful experience on my recent yacht charter from Kefalonia Sailing. From my first contact arranging the booking Spiros was most helpful in choice of yacht and sailing area. The yacht on pick-up was in excellent condition. Unfortunately a storm came in which meant we had to seek refuge in Sami. Once again Spiros provided advice and his staff were on hand to meet us on arrival to ensure a berth. Sadly due to an illness at home we had to cut short the charter but once again Spiros did all he could to help us and make the unexpected handover of the yacht stress free and arranged transport for a quick dash to the airport. We had a wonderful one week charter in October sailing from Sami around the Ionian Islands. We chartered San Giorgio, I beautiful 2017 Lagoon 42 which was luxury indeed. We set sale with 2 families on board to explore the Ionian and had the most wonderful holiday visiting beautiful bays with turquoise seas as well as amazing villages like Fiskardo. Spiros was extremely helpful and a pleasure to charter from, always quick to respond to any questions and make sure we had the best possible time, we also had support from the owner which was much appreciated on a couple of technical problems.
