The bareboat charter was excellently managed. Spiros and Bouchra responded promptly to all queries and gained immediately our confidence to invest our charter fee way up-front. Having got to know them at pickup we were sorry not to have had time to see more of them - the beautiful weather in Kefalonia called us away immediately onto the high seas. The boat (Bavaria 46, 2015) was in immaculate condition, and we would warmly recommend the personal attention afforded by Spiros and Bouchra to any other prospective charterers. Great communication from Spiros who was also flexible with our travel arrangements. . Personal welcome when we arrived and relaxing 1-1 check-in to get our yacht. Our yacht was in great condition and loaded with extra items not usually seen on a charter boat. We had a great weeks sailing around the Ionian Islands on a great boat. We are frequent charterers and have sailed in the Med for the past 43 year. I have not only chartered but for many years ran the operations of a major charter company. I can safely say that it is not very often that one comes across a charter company as efficient and flexible as Kefalonia Sailing .Spiros and his team were quite outstanding and nothing was too much trouble. Changes of charter dates, plans and island excursions were all handled swiftly and with courtesy. There is a lot to be said for using a company where the owners are hands on - something the mega charter companies lose with size. The boat was in excellent condition for age and we had no problems with her whatsoever. One other big advantage was the far cheaper flights to Argostoli rather than Preveza -amazing difference. We've sailed many times in the Ionian, historically using a British company. However, our old charter company was starting to get really expensive so we explored some local operators. We struck lucky with Kefalonia Sailing. We chartered Nionios, a Sun Odysey 35 in June 2017. Spiros was fantastic right from our first communication and the team went out of their way to make our trip as enjoyable as possible. We had been warned the boat was a little older than some and weren't too sure what to expect but she was a delightful boat which had clearly been looked after and we had some fantastic sailing. But it was the little touches that made things memorable. Solar panels meant we could run the fridge 24 hours a day. Electric fans in the cabins ensured comfortable nights. As we sail with our daughter (who was just over two years old on this trip) both these factors were very welcome. Spiros had also provided netting round the guard rails and packed some kids toys and a toddler's life jacket in the lockers. They also accommodated our request to pick the boat up in one location and drop it off in a different one. I rarely give reviews but have no hesitation in recommending Kefalonia Sailing to anyone. They are a reliable, friendly team who provide great value for money and go the extra mile to make sure you have the best possible time. I can’t recommend Kefalonia Sailing more highly. Spiros looked after us brilliantly despite very difficult circumstances. I think they offer the best prices as well. We originally booked on a flotilla with six people and two boats for the beginning of June. Covid put a stop to that, but Spiros was very happy to move the booking to late September. Then two of our party decided they couldn’t come anyway, but Spiros found us a boat for the 4 of us. A week before we were due to arrive there was a massive storm and some of the company’s boats were sunk compromising the holiday. Spiros found us another boat and attached us to a new flotilla. We had a great time while out sailing. They were fantastic from start to finish. Very highly recommended. (September 2020)
I would like to thank Spiros very much for all the help with our charter. All contacts were all very good at helping us too for example when we returned to Sami before the storm. Without his personal help too we would not have had the good experience.
italiano / español Settimana indimenticabile, posti meravigliosi che abbiamo potuto raggiungere anche grazie alla guida di un bravissimo skipper (un ragazzo inglese che da anni lavora in quella zona e conosce ogni suo angolo paradisiaco) che ha subito capito il tipo di esperienza che cercavamo più intima e meno commerciale. Unica piccola pecca era il fatto che parlasse solo inglese e quindi le nostre figlie hanno potuto interagire con lui molto poco. Bellissime veleggiate e barca ben attrezzata. Ottima comunicazione con Spiros che ha organizzato tutto egregiamente, dall\\\'aeroporto in poi. Un sogno!! Semana inolvidable, lugares maravillosos que pudimos conocer también gracias a el skipper que nos dieron (un muchacho inglés que trabaja hace años en esa zona y conoce cada uno de sus paradisiacos rincones) el cual entendiò enseguida el tipo de experiencia que buscavamos, mas intima y menos comercial. La unica pena era que hablaba solo en inglés asì que mis hijas pudieron conversar muy poco con el. Hermosas navegaciòn y barco a vela muy comodo. Optima comunicacion con Spiros que ha organizado todo perfectamente, desde el aeropuerto en adelante. Un sueño!!
Wanted a last minute week sailing in October but needed to get a boat from Kefalonia rather than lefkas. Found kefaloniasailing.com. but prices were almost too good to be true so was a little sceptical. From the point of initial enquiry to arranging airport transfer and then meeting us at the boat in person, the service from Spiros was fantastic and I couldn't rate him more highly. Nous sommes une petite famille de 4 personnes. Mon épouse, moi même et nos deux filles de 8 et 10 ans Nous étions en vacances dans les îles Ionniennes et la vue répétée des bateaux naviguant sur les eaux turquoises nous a donné envie de tenter l'aventure. Nous avons eu la chance de naviguer avec skipper pendant une semaine sur un BAVARIA 40S répondant au doux nom de Kanenas. Nous avons passé une semaine de croisière inoubliable.
