The bareboat charter was excellently managed. Spiros and Bouchra responded promptly to all queries and gained immediately our confidence to invest our charter fee way up-front. Having got to know them at pickup we were sorry not to have had time to see more of them - the beautiful weather in Kefalonia called us away immediately onto the high seas. I can’t speak highly enough of Spiros and his attitude and approach. From his first email to the handshake goodbye, Spiros was friendly, efficient, responsive and honest. He found us exactly the type of boat we needed; he was there to meet us at the airport; he and his team were always available on the phone when we had questions; and when we did have a little problem with the anchor, he did all he could to resolve the issue as quickly and painlessly as possible. Our first cruise in the Ionian, and what a great time we had. The weather was kind & the boat reliable, well equipped and just right for four adults, and our adorable 14 month old grand daughter Nancy. We chartered a Bavaria 39 from Sami, which wasn’t the newest on the block, but well presented, clean and tidy with the massive benefit of Solar Panels which made a massive difference - fridge on 24/7, what a luxury. NO FORGETTING AMNESIA We set off from Agios Efimia, Kefalonia, circumnavigated Ithaki, calling in at some interesting anchorages before sailing to Atoro and then to Kastos before returning via Meganissi Island and a memorable afternoon sail down Steno Ithakis in a rising wind. The yacht, which was called “Amnesia” was anything but unforgettable. The boat was a Cyclades 43.4 Cruiser with (thankfully) slab reefing and roomy accommodation down below. The all-important anchor windlass had recently been replaced and Georgios had equipped the boat for every conceivable circumstance and thankfully nothing went wrong. We had very light winds (apart from the last day of the sailing trip) and had to motor for fairly long distances at times with absolutely no trouble from the engine. This sailing area never ceases to surprise me in its beauty and variety and, despite the busy conditions in some of the harbours we were always able to secure a comfortable berth. We are frequent charterers and have sailed in the Med for the past 43 year. I have not only chartered but for many years ran the operations of a major charter company. I can safely say that it is not very often that one comes across a charter company as efficient and flexible as Kefalonia Sailing .Spiros and his team were quite outstanding and nothing was too much trouble. Changes of charter dates, plans and island excursions were all handled swiftly and with courtesy. There is a lot to be said for using a company where the owners are hands on - something the mega charter companies lose with size. The boat was in excellent condition for age and we had no problems with her whatsoever. One other big advantage was the far cheaper flights to Argostoli rather than Preveza -amazing difference. I would like to thank Spiros very much for all the help with our charter. All contacts were all very good at helping us too for example when we returned to Sami before the storm. Without his personal help too we would not have had the good experience.
same as 2019, we came back to Spiros and his team to charter in ionian sea. sun odyssee 33i from 2015, but well maintained and in good conditions great holidays, great service, always friendly and helpful for any request. sure we come back to Spiros!
