Sami is the main ferry port of Cephalonia , nice town in which you can find almost everything .Nice tavernas , cafes and tourist shops .If you visit Sami you have to visit Melissani cave which is just 2km from the port and the cost for a taxi is not more than 20€

Go stern or bows-to or alongside at the inner side of the harbour .Good holding , good shelter .The prevailing wind makes the outer side of the harbour uncomfortable and dangerous at times as the swell comes straight from Agia Efimia .The N side of the harbour is reserved for big yachts
