Assos is a small harbour on the N/W side of Cephalonia . A very nice small traditional village that must seen if you sail in the area . The massive fort on the peninsula offers a great view to the walkers who will attempt a walk at the sunset

Mooring
Go stern or bows-to the mole with a long line ashore .You must keep distance from the mole which is bordered by rocks, care must be taken . You can also stay in the bay on free anchoring or with a long line to the rocks , the bay is quite deep 7-12m but the holding is not good everywhere so is advisable to let out as much scope as possible. Try to delay your visit on N-N/W winds , the swell makes the place uncomfortable and sometimes dangerous
